Real-time answers, not stale content
Most content only needs to be current to the day, which nightly re-crawl handles. Some doesn't. When a skier asks “is Peak Express running?” at 8:40am, an answer from last night's crawl is worse than no answer at all.
Mark a URL as a Live Page and SiteYak fetches it at the moment the question is asked — so lift status, snow conditions, and today's specials are read live, not remembered. Pro includes 5 Live Pages; Enterprise includes 10 per site, with more available on request.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a conversation?
One visitor chat session — a single person's back-and-forth with your assistant, however many messages it includes. Follow-up questions in the same session are part of the same conversation, not new ones. Your count resets monthly.
What counts as a page?
A page is one URL that SiteYak indexes from your site — your homepage, each room or menu page, each event listing. Page limits apply to what we index, not to how big your site is: we discover the full site through your sitemap and index up to your plan's limit. Free covers 10 pages and Starter 50; Pro and Enterprise are unlimited. Uploaded documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT) do not count toward the page limit.
What's the difference between nightly re-crawl and live pages?
Nightly re-crawl keeps your indexed content current — every night, any page that changed is re-read automatically, and unchanged pages are skipped. It's right for content that changes on a human schedule, like menus or room descriptions. Live pages are for data that changes during the day — lift status, grooming, snow totals, hours — and are pulled fresh in real time at the moment a visitor asks. Nightly refresh is included from Starter up; live pages are a Pro and Enterprise feature.
When am I charged?
We collect a card at signup but don't charge it until your widget is live and running on your site. After that it's a simple flat monthly or annual subscription — no per-conversation fees, no surprise bills. Cancel anytime before you go live and you pay nothing.
What happens if I go over my conversations?
On Free and Starter, the full-screen overlay pauses for the rest of the month and the corner widget shows a brief "back soon" state, then everything resets at the start of your next cycle — and we'll prompt you to upgrade if you're regularly hitting the cap. On Pro and Enterprise you are not cut off: your assistant keeps working, and we'll reach out proactively if it looks like you've outgrown your plan so we can get you on the right tier. No surprise charges either way.
Can I use one account for multiple properties?
Yes — that's Enterprise. One login, switch between all your properties, per-property branding and content, and a single consolidated bill.
Do you offer an annual discount?
Yes — choose annual at checkout and get a month free (pay for 11, get 12). Starter and Pro can be billed monthly or annually; Enterprise is billed annually.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle, and your indexed content and branding carry over.
